Blog Assignment #2 - All Classes post here - Week of 8/30-9/3

How will you ensure that your legacy as seniors won't be one that is apathetic?  You will also respond to two of your classmates' responses.  I will also respond, so make sure that your responses are school appropriate.

  1. I think in order to leave a legacy that isn't an apathetic one you'd have to go outside of your comfort zone and possibly do something you normally wouldn't. Perhaps going to a random group of people and introducing yourself.

  2. Im going to ensure my legacy isn't apathetic by living it everyday. And by that i mean going out of my way to help others even at the expense of my own happiness.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I will ensure that my legacy is not apathetic by helping others. I will do my best to not be a bystander again and to notice when someone is in trouble and do my best to step in and help fix the problem. I hope to be a rescuer the next time I see someone needing help.

  4. I tottally I agree with jgarza and chris, leaving my legacy would be starting and completing the task with my fashion club. I want to be rembered for that so people and my self can say she did and she steped out her confort zone.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I will ensure my legacy is not apathetic by trying my best to succeed in what ever it is I do. I will also ensure it by being optomistic and never giving up.

    ReplyDelete
  6. to leave behind a legacy of unforgetable memories. i want to know that i lived my life the way it was meant to be done and that i die with no regrets and living like there's no tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  7. i agree with chris because to not be apathetic means to be more outgoing and what's more outgoing than talking to strangers? how about making a fool of yourself in front of a bunch of people you've never met? and just doing what makes you happy and not what society thinks is "cool."

    ReplyDelete
  8. also with jenny too, succeeding in what you do is part of what makes you you.

    ReplyDelete
  9. To attempt at leaving an impact on people's lives by helping them with their problems. Whatever that issue may be. I been doing it for a while now and had all sorts of issues to deal with. They've all found what I said to be helpful in some way.
    Don't be shy!
Even if I am at first. :)

  10. Ensuring your legacy and holding to it mainly depend's on a person's own self-will. If you have issue's with self-will, then your going to be having some difficulty with this. On the contrary, sticking up for people make's you look like a higher person than other's. People will have a slightly different view of you as a person. Though, you may make one person unhappy with you, but you will alway's make a person like you for being there rescuer. I agree with Jenny that you should do your best at whatever is at hand, break through the barrier of being able to push yourself. And also Jacob. If you don't live your legacy everyday like you would with family or religion, then your legacy may possibly drift away from you.

  11. As a senior, i will make sure that i ensure my legacy as not being one that's apethetic, because it's time now to realize that i shoudln't have the " I don't care " care attitude. Mainly, and most importantly i want to leave a legacy as a missionary (helping other people). I think i shouldn't be a bystander anymore either because when i know things are wrong it makes me feel guilty and i re-think it. I agree with Bryan, when you stick up for people it does make look higher as a person. I think it's important to live my legacy, and not leave an apethetic one.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My legacy will not be apathetic as long as I stick to it. As long as I show and commit to what I would like to leave behind, no one could associate it with apathy.

  13. I will ensure that my legacy stays intact all year by a want to attitude and not just a have to attitude. As seniors we lead the school and should be an example to everyone looking up to us.Our attitudes as seniors should be a motivation attitude from the beginning of the year to the very last day of school. I definetly agree with Bryan. It is a choice that each person should make individually. You cannot make anyone do anything but i think that motivation and spirit will definetly help the apathy that seniors tend to get.i also agree with jenny that if we succeed in everything we will do there will be no apathy because obviously if you succeeded in something you wanted to succeed in it and gave effort for whatever it is that you succeeded in. This will also be a boost of confidence to keep you wanting to do more. :)

  14. To ensure my legacy I will definitely show my interest in school and the people surrounding me. Keep up good grades and try my hardest helping everyone around me. Quisenbelly93 i agree with you with us being looked up too and how we have to keep our morals positive. Jasmine i also agree with you to not be a bystander anymore and see how that effects others not just myself.

  16. i hope that leaving my leagacy will help others to get out of their little "box." so that they could become who they want to be and not give the wrong impressions they leave on people...as for example, pretending that they dont care about what theyre going to do after graduation and that they will deal with life once it hits them.
    hopefully that sounds right

    ReplyDelete
  17. JGarza;
I absolutely agree with you 100%!
but for me saying something and actually doing it are 2 completely different things. i can say to others -and myself- that i will do the right thing or help people, but in the end i just sit back in the corner.
and im glad to have read your blog. maybe i could be more like you in doing things that puts me outside of my comfortzone. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. chanson101;

i also agree that to your blog! living life to the fullest!
thankfully this year, as seniors, everyone will make many memories and just do what you love and never hold back.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I will make sure the legacy I leave is not apathetic by always working as hard as I can even when it is the end of the year and I am ready to be out of school. I will try to let the rest of the school realize that every decision you make, even the little ones will have consequences, whether they be good or bad.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I will make sure the legacy i leave is not apathetic by living it out! I will do my best to follow through with it and not back down. As a senior it is kinda your job to lead the under class men and do whats right, so they will do the same when they are seniors. I agree with ellie, that our attitudes are everything! if we start with a bad attitude its hard to change it into a positive one. I also agree agree with steph, if you commit to something there wont be anything apathetic about it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. MeganA

I hope people come out of their "box" too. i hate that people feel the need to pretend to be someone they're not, because they think they won't be accepted for who they truly are.

    quisenbelly93

I love how you use the terms "a want to attitude" and "a have to attitude. The past three years of our lives we have looked up the the seniors and tried to be like them or better than them, and I hope that we leave high expectations for the younger classes and that we are worthy of being role models for them.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I will ensure that my legacy is not apathetic by sticking to what i always have and being a go-getter!

    ReplyDelete
  23. chansen101-I really like what you said about dieing with no regrets because that's exactly my same view.
Jenny.Allen7- I also really like yours because thats also something i live by!

    ReplyDelete
  24. To ensure that my legacy is not apathetic i will share my legacy with others and teach others how to reach out to people and help them to understand my legacy and motivate them to follow it. I want to help others when they are in need of help and teach them to do the same, i agree with Chris Hogarty, you definitely need to step out of your comfort zone to achieve this goal and i also agree with JGarza, you have to practice what you preach in order for others to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I will ensure that my legacy as a senior won't be one that is apathetic by helping others everyday with any little thing that i possibly can. Also i will let others know the importance of making a difference in another person's life because helping others is something that makes me who i am and I really enjoy that.I will keep by positive attitude in any situation wether it be bad or good. I agree with quisenbelly93 because the younger classes do look up to us and we should set a better example then just thinking "eh its my last year i dont have to do much." I also agree with what Jasmine A. said she has a good point being a bystander makes you feel really guilty afterwards when you know you could of done something to help but didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I believe that to ensure that my legacy is not apathetic, I will have to think outside of the box, live it out, think positively and be determinated to achieve a goal I am seeking for. Not only that but also to be a leader, a motivator, somebody people believe in, rely on, and look forward to.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @ Chris Hogarty:
I believe that would be a nice idea, people dont really know other people but always have an idea of how they are and all this judging made by appearances. I also think that people shouldnt be afraid of get out of their little "world" inside them.

    @ Jgarza:
I actually disagree with you. People should never put their happiness before anybody, you have to make sure that to make other people happy you have to be happy, and radiate the happiness to others. I really dont think that you would actually do that, my friend I'll tell you what it's really easy to say stuff, but it's really hard to do them.

  28. I never knew what my legacy really was until I was introduced kid cudi. His music inspires me in many ways and opened my eyes to new doors and challenges. In other words I learned to live to the fullest and make life worth living for. I live my legacy by basically making my life worth the long ride until the end.

  30. I think to ensure that my legacy is not apathetic I have to find the perfect balance between a legacy that is not too easy but at the same time one that is challenging enough to make me work at it on daily basis.

    ReplyDelete
  31. i want to make my legacy to do nothing with being apathetic because im a senior now and thats not the way i should act when all the lower class men look up at you,and especially when at this time is when your picking what to do for the rest of you life and its time to get serious and come to reality.
@ DMujica.. i agree with you all the way i like helping otheres with there problems too and yeah i wana make every little thing this year positive, like come on its senior year lolz
@ jazime atandare...thats exactly how i feel i wrote almost something similar as yours i dont want to have that "i dont care" attitude this year because i admit the other years i was like that but not this year.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I will ensure my legacy by is to never give up on your dreams and work hard. I would also Like to help someone towards there dreams

  33. @ Rico
My man you got it all wrong. Some times you gotta just go out there and do what you want, like if a man wants to go out there and go jump off a bridge for him to be happy then let him be. It's his life to live

  34. We all have the desire to leave a legacy or something that we can be remembered for. Like a river that leaves behind an amazing canyon. Leaders leave a legacy. Teachers leave a legacy especially to the students.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ rob norm
I agree with your legacy because kid cudi and about making your life worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @ Dylan hurt

That legacy reminds me of a friend I have. He was injured for the longest time ever. Then when he finally got back on his feet he worked for three months straight to break the squat record for school. Believe it or not he actually did succeed on it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chris Hogarty:
i 100% agree with you because we are all still young and some of us are hiding behind the person in the desk in front of them..

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Rico your a good guy. Your words actually inspired me to get out there
    Kudos to you

    ReplyDelete
  39. JGarza: agreed because a lot of people in our society today care majority about themselves before others. Think about someone who has made it in the big leagues either music you name it whatever, do you think their going to go out of the way when their at the top to help oneself?

    ReplyDelete
  40. i will ensure my legacy by not being apathetic by living life to the fullest and never give up on my dreams and have a positive attitude towards anything that comes in the future...

Dmujica- i agree with you it is good to keep a positive attitude in good and bad situations and helping others.

aisaac11236- i agree that it is nice to help others figure out their legacy and helping them understand it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. My legacy will not be apathetic because i will live live the best i can and in the way i think is the best. I will try to have a positive attitude and welcoming to everyone.

Chogarty: I agree, we as people need to be able to go out of our comfort zone to make others feel comfortable enough to get out of theirs, it will help everybody feel more comfortable and free in their own skin.

chansen: I believe as long as you live life the best way you can and follow up you will not leave an apathetic legacy

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm just going to live my life the best way I can.
*Chris Hogarty*-I agree with you thats something that most of us should do.
    *JGarza*-I agree.

  43. I agree with Dylan hurts' post in saying that you should never give up on your dream. A dream is there to aim towards not to give up on.
Longnecker is also right for saying that we should be more welcoming to other but in my opinion we should also except them for who they are and not try to change them.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @ eselva

i agree completely, i think people should always try to live their life to the fullest.

    @ Dylan Hurt

i agree. never giving up on your dreams is something everyone needs to do, even when things are not going your way.

  45. I will make sure that my legacy will not be apathetic by living everyday like it was the last day of my life.
to be.reall92: I so agree with you people have a legacy and just dont realize it.
to KerymmeC: ya sure sometimes all you got to give is your best.

  48. I will ensure that my legacy is not one that is apathetic by striving to do my best at fulfilling all that I have entailed with great determination and perseverance.

Chris - you're right. you should branch out and let your legacy be known.

eselve - having a positive attitude and never giving up is the best way to avoid being apathetic.

  49. I will make sure its not apathetic by staying true to my legacy and make sure I put my legacy in play and spread the word of JESUS!

    ReplyDelete
  50. @jenny.allen7
I completely agree with you because if you dont succeed what would the point of your legacy be. You would deffinitly have to be optimistic about what ever it is.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Dylan Hurt
I agree, because if you gave up and just backed down there would be no point in leaving a legacy. Helping others with their legacy and dreams is also good.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I agree with stephanierod, it's important to stick to your legacy.
I also agree with bhaselden, every decision you make can have consequences either good or bad. Choose your decisions wisely.

    ReplyDelete
  53. To ensure that my legacy won't be apathetic I would like to keep my mind open to new things and ideas. I want to keep a positive outlook this year and make sure I have no regrets in the choices I make.

I agree with Chris Hogarty when he talks about how we should go out of our comfort zone and do something we normally wouldn't do. Some times people doubt themselves and their decisions to try something new. Instead, I think we should just go for it without any regrets.

I also agree with Kayla Delgado. We should reach out to those in need of a helping hand or just someone to talk to. We all have an impact on the people we encounter in our lives, so we should make it a good experience.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think to leave a legacy as a senior that would not be a apathetic is by doing what you suppose to do and not let any little obstacle get in your way to slow you down. The way im leaving a legacy is being positive toward all my peers.

  55. I like how everyone is talking about their legacy and its awesome on what their opinions on about them I hope that my legacy will put a positive influence to the lower classmen so that they to will know what to leave behind.

  61. I will ensure my legacy is not apathetic by getting out of my comfort zone and getting to know people more or talking to people who I don't normally talk to.

    @ michelleP
i agree with having no regrets in your choices in your life.

    @ Berry2011
I agree with living life to the fullest, but i disagree with living your life like it's your last day. It's important to plan for your future as well.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I belive in order to leave a legacy that is not apathetic i must live my legacy every day. I will try my hardest to do what is right. And i agree with having no regrets in your life. you cant look back on life and have a sad face. you should live it the fullest.

    ReplyDelete
  63. In order to ensure your legacy isn't apathetic you have to leave an exciting legacy. Don't just go through the motions of school, but instead enjoy it while it lasts. This is pretty much as great as life will get. After high school you gain many responsibilities and you have to pay bills. This is the life so leave an exciting legacy at Cy Woods.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I agree with Chris Hogarty. In order to live a legacy that is not apathetic you have to go out of your comfort zone.

Also I completely agree with Jacob Longnecker. Live life to the fullest and you ensure that your legacy will not be dull and boring.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I will ensure my legacy is not apathetic by being myself and be positive to everybody else. Also to leave an amazing legacy.

i agree with Daniel Holub, leave an exciting legacy and not a negative or boring one.

i agree with sreynolds because meeting new people is a good thing to keep life going.

  66. I will leave a legacy of being an outgoing person. I will make sure its not apathetic by living it out day to day. For example if i see someone ive never met before, ill introduce myself. I've learned that if you just keep to yourself, and not talk to peple, you can miss out on alot in life!

I like dylan hurts legacy. Life will throw obsticles at you, but you can't give up. You've got to learn to overcome them and perservere.

@ Acormier2010- I agree. The world needs more people who will branch out and help others. Especially in times of need.

  67. Parker McVay

I think in order to make sure our legacy as seniors isn't an apathetic one is to make sure the underclassmen and everyone else at Cy-Woods make sure they know you care. But before you do that you actually have to care.

@Chris Hogarty: i agree, some things you do may force yourself to come out of your shell, but eventually it'll just come to you.

@JEast: I agree, the first step into caring and coming out of yourself is to have a positive outlook on life

    ReplyDelete
  68. I agree with Chris and I like what JGarza said but Im going to just do the best I can at what ever it is I do.

  69. i agree with JGraza and Chanson101, this is our senior year, and with hope, most of us will never get the chance to replay it. So stepping up and standing out is what we all should do as seniors!

  70. Ive never been big on school spirit really i havent really even been to a game or dance homecoming anything. I dont like school actually at all so i do not support it really at all to be honest. But i wont have an apathetic year at all because i like to have fun and enjoy life no matter what it throughs at me.In my opinion school spirit is pointless,we are required to go to a place from seven thirty to two thirty to have a group of adults tell us what to do,what we can say and not say,and punish those who dont like it.School is nothing to be spirited about its a prison of misery for seven hours a day for about 187 days of our lives. For those who need the education to do what they want to do i think that it should be there choice to go to school and i think if you can do life without it like so many people in the world you should be allowed to do it. I agree with Kayla Clark i hope for no one to have to repeat there senior and if it takes you stepping up your game and standing out to get you out of this place i think its more than worth it.I also have to agree with mark lamping, the only redeeming factor of highschool is being able to socialize and meet life long friends.

    ReplyDelete
  71. As a senior i will make sure to ensure my legacy. Ensuring our legacy and mainly depends on yourself. I believe to never give up and life to your fulliest dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think in order not to leave an apathetic legacy you have to be a part of something and help out. Maybe do something u don't usually do.
Chris Hogarty- I agree because u have to be able to do different things even if it's not what you do.
JGarza- yes, because u have to reach out to others

    ReplyDelete
  73. By not letting my legacy be apathetic is by not letting the legacy i want to just pass by when theres a chance i could leave that legacy. The legacy i want to leave is a legacy of inspiration. I could do that when every time i see a person doubting themselves on thier goals i can inspire them to continue and stay dedicated on their goal.
